Affiliate Disclosure

Where money may enter, and where it never decides

OperaAtlas may earn from selected booking links. We label those links clearly and keep commercial arrangements separate from editorial judgement.

How affiliate links work

OperaAtlas may receive a commission when a traveller follows a clearly identified affiliate link and completes an eligible booking with the external provider. The booking itself still takes place with that provider, under its own terms and privacy policy.

Affiliate links are activated deliberately

An application to, or approval by, an affiliate programme does not by itself turn every provider link into an affiliate link. OperaAtlas only treats a link as commercial when an exact tracked URL has been activated in our central provider-link registry. Until then, the original official or untracked link remains in use.

How we label live affiliate links

When a tracked affiliate link is active, the relevant call to action is visibly marked Affiliate. The link is also marked in the page markup as a sponsored relationship. We do not hide affiliate status inside terms or rely on a disclosure that appears only after you click.

It does not raise your price

Following an affiliate link does not normally increase what you pay. Any commission is arranged between OperaAtlas and the provider or affiliate network, rather than added by OperaAtlas to your booking price.

Ranking is never for sale

Commercial relationships never determine editorial ranking. Whether or not a link can earn commission does not decide whether a hotel, restaurant, experience or travel option is recommended, or where it appears. The editorial choice comes first; the commercial link layer comes afterwards.

Our current operating rule

Where no tracked commercial URL has been configured, OperaAtlas continues to use an official or explicitly untracked provider link. We never describe a pending application, technical integration, or ordinary outbound link as a commercial partnership that does not yet exist.
